Shared walk-in-closet

Thrift Shop opens its doors on the Albert Cuypstraat in Amsterdam. It is a shared walk-in closet where women can sell their ‘new vintage’ items on consignment, thus offering a wide range of brands, from Chanel and Balenciaga, to Levi’s and Dr. Martens. The collection is sold both in the store and via the webshop.

The idea for Thrift Shop arose from the fact that almost every woman has a closet full of items she no longer wears; new vintage. These items are too cute or too good to stay in the closet. That is why founders Dina el Basri and Tedje Fliers have taken the initiative to build a walk in closet where these items get a second life. The powder-pink shop with golden details does not look (and smell) like other vintage stores. Items are curated and the mix of brands is wide, so that every woman can find a treasure. A large part of the collection can be ordered online via the website.
