The owners of JAJEM and ‘de Kopstootbar’ and the initiators of restaurant Pesca opened a brand new bar last week: de Tulp at Marie Heinekenplein in Amsterdam.
De Tulp is a fresh, new concept in the bar-scene. Many vibrant colours are used in the interior, so it feels as if you are in the Carribean. They’ve put a swing on the terrace, and the whole place is covered in tropical plants. The vibe is flowy and easy going, fitting the Amsterdam lifestyle.
In order to stay in laid back, Carribean vibes, all the tables in the restaurant are pushed aside after dinner, to make room for the dance floor.
The menu consists of several cutting boards, serving three small dishes. But there’s also the possibility to order a sandwich, a salad or a toast. For drinks there are some great pitchers with cocktails and beer, especially to share with friends!
